Car states on V5 that it's date of registration 1998 as it was imported, but in the notes section it says "declared manufactured 1993" Car is a late spec saph 4x4.
I went to Ford a while ago who I'm sure told me it was actually a 92 car, basically I'd like to know for MOT purposes as it might be a pain in the A$$ as it's ot no Cat, just want to cover myself incase I have any bother.
Will it be tested from the V5 data or can they contact ford and confirm the details???

Same as my Golf GTI, it was made in 1996 however didn't come to UK from Ireland till 2000 hence the reg docs say 2000, when I try to get parts they say 'how can you have a MK3 Golf that was made in 2000'.
No issues with MOT though as it should be clear to see on the docs it has been imported and I assume it has an age related reg too? I really wouldn't worry

It says 1993 but it's actually August 1992 according to the VIN details, it says "N" is 1992 and "E" is August
