.......got into work today and had to block people in because our car park is small & shit ! About 1/2 hour later I had to get a work car out so this meant I had to move mine, got in and turned the key and all I got was a loud 'click' sound, I think, from the starter motor. Could this have seized due to the heat ?........anyway, over the last few days it has become harder to start and the starter motor has been sounding weak ie. hardly turns over but then suddenly starts.

Does anyone know how much a NEW starter motor is for the s2 erst and any good places to get one...........I need it ASAP !!!

also, ford do a heat shield I believe, anyone know the part number & how much it is ?

About £45 I think. Hit the one you've got with a hammer, it'll loosen it up a bit.

If you got a heat shield over your turbo take it off, cos they keey the heat in and fry starters

I didnt mean the turbo heat shield, I meant the one that ford do to keep the heat away from the starter, anyone know the finis and price ?
