Default Need a generator for my garage any advice.

My garage is in a block with no electricity and i was thinking i could get a quiet genny to power some lights and the odd power tool.

Any advice or good ones to get?

i bought one from B&Q ages ago, used to run it in my council garage. think i payed £150 for it, runs a grinder and drill ok! just gathering dust now!

if you want a proper quiet genny there is only 1 real choice

honda 4 stroke (not cheap though)

i have this one, and its soooo quiet

how muh are you planning on using it. Even running on idle i guess it will cost £2 an hour in fuel, if using for 2 days a week, it starts to add up. Have you checked the price for a new electric supply. might be had for under £500 if theres one near and they charge depending of ease of job.

not going to be using it that much i suppose, just would be nice to have some lights in there. Who would i contact to get an elec supply in the garage?

I have an inverter in my Astravan.... just hook thatup to 2x tube lights does the job... but then again i hardley go in there..... and only use for 30mins max
