spark plug covered in oil. problem?
i was doing a mini service on my maxo last night. when i whipped the spark plugs out 1 of them was covered in oil. looking down the bore there is nothing to see and no oil on the piston. only 1plug too.
is this anything to worry about? what would cause it?
also the car failed MOT the other day on emissions. there were hydrocarbons present. could this be the reason?

On what part of plug?
Could just be cam cover gasket.
As for HC's, the usual really, check service items are in good health, no exhaust leaks, and lambda sensor is ok.
Hard to say without readings.
