I always like using the best oils in all my cars.

In my Evo i use millers 10-60.
I use the same in my civic turbo.
But the civic is burning oil at a rate of about 1 litre per 1k miles. So it's getting a bit expensive at nearly 10 quid a litre for the daily driver.

Whats a good cheaper alternative?
Will semi be ok? I don't want the car to break, but don't feel i get much benefit running fully synth because it's not staying in the engine long enough anyway

I'm waiting on pistons and rods from the USA, at the moment its a 145k mile standard engine.

So whats the best semi/cheap fully synthetic oil you lot use?
