Default Paypal question.

I paid for an item via paypal 10 days ago. From America. It was never dispatched, I smell a rat. Can I cancel this payment and have it refunded tro me?

Thanks for any advice.

You can't just cancel a payment, you'll have to start a dispute first.

Many thanks. How long do you have to wait before commencing proceedings? It was not an e-bay purchase it was a shop. If that makes any difference.

yeah pay pal will look into the problem for you.
only problem being that even if they decide in your favour you may not get the money.

i had a problem and paypal sent me a message saying they have decided the other guy was in the wrong but have been unable to get the funds for the other persons account.

basicially if they take ur money out and clear off with it there is no guarantee u can get it back.
but if its a shop they are probably having money go in and out of the account often so you may be lucky.

Thanks alot. Total pain in the arse this. I am kicking myself for using paypal. I should have used my card then I could have requested a chargeback after 30 days. Lesson learned.
