I have been mentioning Falken FK-451's and now 452's for sometime on threads as i have been impressed with them for years, as grippy road tyres IMO better than F1's, toyo's etc.

Used them on track on the Cossie and Mondeo, admitedly no 500 bhp, but they are excellent tyres.

Fantastic size range as well.

ZE-512 IMO are shit. I believe a totally different compound.

The FK-451 and 452 are a silica rubber compound of some type. Very good.

Only ones I have experienced are Ziex? And were total shit, put me off buying any Falken at all actually. Maybe willing to try the 451-452's if they get good reports.

I've had both falken 451's all round on the Saph 4x4 cossie in 215x40x17 running 400bhp, much better than the toyo's before that.
I've had 451 on front wheel drive Integra Type R 205x40x17, better than the yoko's i had before that and noticed the type r had alot less body role on falken rubber.
Now got FK 452's 235x40x18 for the EsCos, excellent compond and found lots of grip in wet or dry.

A mate of mine had Falken Ziex 215x45x17 on a st170 Focus, they were shite.. changed to 451's a year later much better.

thanks,
Manoj

Glad others have the same experience:

Steer clear of the cheaper ZE- range, and don't let bad experiences with these put you off their best tyres.

Stick to Falkens top of the range FK-452 grippy compound tyres.

I ran them on both my 3dr (stg 3) and my GTR (700bhp). They are very narrow for a given size (their 275/30 tyre was narrower than most other brands 255 section tyres).
I would rate them as good as Toyos for grip but very noisy and prone to tramlining. They lastest longer than any other tyre I tried on the GTR (BRIDGESTONES/DUNLOPS/YOKOS/MICHELINS/TOYOS/TOURING CAR SLICKS )
For the money you cant beat them IMO
