I was 19 when i bought my S2. Sold it a year later as i only then realised how expensive they can be!
Id like another one, really fancy one for the summer time, but i just know it'll be trouble, and being realistic, to anyone not into cars (the females ), an old escort is an old escort
If i could run two cars, id have another s2 in a flash, but money is the deciding factor unfortunately.

I think it depends what you want the car for. If its mainly for trackdays, top speeds etc.. then I dont think it matters what age you are. If its for an everyday car then in "my" opinion its a car that I would expect somebody 18-25yrs old to drive.

its a car, if you like them dont matter how old you are
i dont see them as a stepping stone to a cossie as a lot people do, they are future classics if kept in the right condition.
fair play to the 63 year old, i rest my case

Team HOTHOT!
Never had an S2, went straight into bigboys toys at 21 with a 4x4 Cossie
Now the tender age of 24 with a 530d Sport BMW of all things
Old before my time? probably, just look at my grey hair
