I've got mintex 1144 atm and they've done me well.. But blasting down the A14 this morning on the way home when braking the rear sounded fuckin horrible under braking... checked and the pads are 98% dead!
Suggestions on new make perhaps? I have got the 300mm rear disc kit but still standard calipers...
Who sells a variety? Mike? Matt lewis?
Cheers!

Apec? L&R Motor Parts sell them on the Sweet Briar Industrial Estate - cheap as chips and I've never had a problem with them (even in the fronts!!) ![Grin](https://passionford.com/forum/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif)
I do believe Mike R & Charlie used to use them in their Saph's too and you know full well how they used to get driven and they were up to the job![Wink](https://passionford.com/forum/images/smilies/icon_wink.gif)
Long time no see btw mate - be good to have a chat at a meet some time - hope all is well...

APEC are affectionally known as TAXI PADS, they are so bloody hard they never wear out, total crap IMO.
I run Yellowstuff all round, work ace from cold, little dust no noise even though I have taken the anti rattle shim off the back of the pads.

When the weather starts to get better the hours will reduce to about 45-50... This time of year it's not all bad as it gives you some money in the pot to spend on things (The Taxi/holidays/trackdays) the major money is earnt at the weekend and nine times out of ten always work 24 hours out of the 48..
The money has come in very handy the last 6 months as i've treated myself to a 50" Samsung, wireless surround sound a PS3
Not to mention 2 gearboxes and 2 front diffs
Will try and get up there in the summer months. It's been ages!
