I made a thermostat gasket out of the 0.8 stuff, worked fine for that. It's about 50p a sheet at the motor factors.

Dan, how much boost do you plan to run?

Anything near/over 2 BAR and the paper/fiberous gaskets will blow out in little pieces........might take a month or 6 months of use, but they do eventually break up.

My first choice would be machine grooves for neoprene "O" rings.........second choice would be the Loctite heavy RTV.

i had thought about o rings doug, but on the rb's there is a small hole in each that is used for an idle bypass, so it wont make a 100% seal. i could always block these with chemical metal as they wont be used anyway.

same goes for the locktite i guess

i could also just have that plate welded on to the rb's, as the car is going to pro alloy next month so im sure they could do that

ill stick a cad drawing up tomoz to show what im on about, as its on my work computer

Dan, do Titan od a dedicated paper/fibre gasket for that mounting face?

If so, the trick is to use the paper/fiber gasket BUT on assemply apply a thin bead of loctite RTV on to ONE mating surface only so that the gasket is in effect glued in place, then it cant be blown outwards/sucked inwards.

dont fit the gasket just yet, they'll rot out before you get the car running
