Why does my air filter make this weird noise on overun?
As title...always does it seemingly when cold rather than warm and being doing it for ages now but now its starting to get on my nerves and seems to be more frequent.
It also does it on cold start as well. Car will start fine every time. I normally take about or minute or so to get myself ready to drive off (attach head unit, connect bluetooth, seatbelt etc etc) and it does it just idling and you can see in the vids its doing it when dropping down to idle. its me revving underbonnet by the way
Does anyone know what causes it and should I have any cause for concern? Thanks

It better fucking not be a bent valve
Stavros, how do you know that it could be this? Any past experience that leads you to believe so?
I do know the ISCV is in need of a clean badly as approaching junctions revs are all over the place and has tried to stall on a few occasions. The creaking noise wasn't this bad and neither was the iscv so fingers crossed cleaning that will solve it

i was joking about the valve mate, how could i have diagnosed that, dont worry
i cant imagine HOW the ISCV could make that noise, but to me, thatd first port of call considering when its happening.
or an EGR valve if its got one

fuck me I thought you were serious Stav
Like I said the idle control valve has been getting more and more sticky over the past few days and that noise has come up a bit more so I'm hoping that will solve the issue. Don't think it has an EGR valve.
And will listen to breathers as well. The breather for the tb to air filter hose I think is to do with ISCV though so could well be related
