I have a car listed at the moment and all is going OK, but someone is bidding from Poland. When I try and email bidders, it tells me that Ebay might block my emails as I am attempting to contact someone with whom I do not have a transaction in place (which is true, because he is a bidder and hasn't yet won). Even though they only say that might block, Im fairly sure they never go through as I haven't yet had a reply to such an email.

So, WTF?? This guy might be genuine and actually have a plan. I like to mail those with shit feedback too, to check they are genuine and this system makes it very difficult.

100% with you on that. Annoys me too, although I think it's to stop people offering to end sales or carry out sales outside of Ebay.

Stops legitimate sellers like yourself from protecting yourself though, which is the bit that bugs me.

I have my Ebay set to not allow bidders with zero feedback or negative numbers- that has helped no end. Have you set yours similarly?

you must be alowing overseas bidders then if he has actually bid?your fault then,you need to set your preferences up.

If your not happy just cancel his bid and give your reason. its really simple.

they may of just come over this week to our free country with free money and free houses and now he wants a car to drive with no tax or insurance
