karl the car is rolling as it is the now with the wheels under the arches using a anglia axel, a have bought this from a friend who started it 4 years ago but never got round to finishing it,i have lots of friends who have been involved in oval racing so geting the car set up etc not a problem

Fair do's mate I have'nt the time or inclination to argue about your car setup. I am however puzzled about how you think your car has anything to do with an oval car setup?

Regardless, please listen to my advice, either wide arch the car to use your 10X13's and a suitable atlas of say 48inch width, otherwise your entire project will be completely useless, as the car will be too unstable to drive on the road as with standard arches and 10X13's you'll be looking at an axle as narrow as 44 inch!


P.S. Do you really think a a suspension setup from a 39bhp anglia is a good basis for a 350bhp rear wheel drive mk1 fiesta! LOL

am not looking to argue either Karl so will have to see what its like.but two things that aint going to change are the car will run is 10x13 wheels and it will not have flared arches

Correct, you will never get a fiesta using a 45 inch anglia back axle and 10X13's under standard arches to handle well with 350bhp in a rwd fiesta. (Well for a start off the axle will fail at 150bhp regardless before we even consider the geometry problems)

You need to have experience of building such as small rwd car with that kind of power to understand the handling problems. Dangerous is not a strong enough word to describe what you will have to drive!

thats why i am looking to change the rear end to the set up on the previous page,which will also allow camber adjustment but the proof will be when it sees knockhill next year

At Kames, running in the Northern speed championship format, we run around 87 - 88seconds.

We ran at Knockhill in the SBD Motorsport British Sprint Championship, but can't remember times to hand.

We have run a 56sec in the wet!!!! SERIOUSLY!

I'm still not sure to hand what our fastest dry lap is, but it will be near 50sec.

It is all about allowing a turbo to be spooled up at idle at a higher speed than with conventional antilag (you still need the rest of the antilag shit as well though, this just makes it more effective thats all), so completely different to here on a supercharger where the ONLY thing dictating the chargers speed at idle is the gearing to the crank.

Here is cool one for you all.
A 1953 studebaker whit a merlin chevy(515 ci) big block engine whit twin turbos of a ford powestroke diesel engine so far it has gone 231 mph@the bonnvile saltfats in 2006 and 234 mph in 2007
Whit a nice safe it good for about 1200 whp and 1400 pound feet of torque what a more racey tune it would be good for 1500 whp+.
An the engine has cope whit 90 second of wot.
It's running very low boost in the video

sure on the old track john muir and his starlet had lap record and am sure that was 56s but track has changed now so 56 in wet is quick
