well as people may know im building a escort mk4 track car (on/off road track car)

just wondering what i could buy to make the steering more accurate with no play etc...or is the only thing i can do is replace all the steering system...

anythink else i could do??

also is there like a steering column extender i could buy, which will bring the steering wheel closer to me, seen them on race/track cars (red/blue ones)...

Quaife do (not sure if they still do) a Quick Rack conversion.

Also, once you are running an aftermarket steering wheel, you can easily fit a spacer to the wheel. They are available in various thicknesses, some are adjustable I think too.

you can get the steering wheel spacers in demon tweeks as for the steering im sure if you replaced everything with new then that would improve it a bit.

i have heard good and bad things about quick racks, i have opted out and putting a new standard one on

Nothing wrong with the standard rack.

Replace all the perishable parts- like the bushes for example
