got an erst today, non runner, starts but missis like on two cylinders, but no smoke, took coe filter off oil in metering unit


also a clang clang clang sound from engine


what ya wreckn rod gone?
first we thought was backfirig through the filter as its a wierd noise


i know the only way to tell is whip the head off will do that in couple days

could it also be a bent stuck valve hitting piston?

to me sounds like a clang from one cylinder, loked for a hole in the block couldt see one

whats some possibilitys?

spose could take rocker off see if anything visable there


anyone selling an engine?

I had a 205 gti a while back that did exactly the same as your description, one of the pipes into the inlet manifold had split so it was sucking air in.
