how can you not differentiate between a suffering man who loved to make people laugh dying slowly and naturally... (time to say goodbye, time for family to prepare, no young family left etc etc)

If someone dies of natural causes it eliminates/reduces the shock factor. When someone dies in an accident people are shocked. Now if that person was especially popular it's even more so. Jokes so soon after their death are inappropriate, but after a bit of time anything goes.

Respect for the dead should be respectful no matter the manner in which they passed.
It's only because they are of celebrity status and have that subsequent lack of privacy, and also that people feel they own a part of said person, that people feel the right to be able to joke about them in death.
I totally recognise the humour in the jokes and pictures etc, and some of it is actually funny in a comedic sense, but personally I don't subscribe to it.
Remember though, it's ONLY because they were famous. If it was some unknown person who had a deformed hand, then you'd be taking the piss out of a dead disabled guy..........
Maybe it's comfort that he probably would have found it funny.

To take the piss out of Colin is in my opinion wrong, the man was a hero to millions and respected for what he achieved in his all too short lifetime. Taken in tragic circumstances and in devastating fashion.
Beadle on the other hand was some remotely funny guy off the tv that died through illness and am fairly sure he would have seen the funny side of the jokes currently going round about him, i mean how many times has he had the piss taken out of him about his gammy hand !!!!
