Default tow bars and towing stuff...

reet, as im on a mission to get the 3dr sorted it of course needs taking to a few places, mostly the other side of the country

so its gonna bankrupt me just paying to get it done

now i can get use of a trailer off my mate, so all i need is a tow wagon...

i have a 406 estate, but no tow bar...

there are a few tow bars for sale on egay and the like, but is a saloon one the same for an estate?

also, what the rules on weights and stuff?

ive seen mondeos towing trailers and cars before, and the 406 is about the same size.

any info appreciated chaps

Happy Birthday geeeeeeeeezR

Hire a van or borrow one...

wouldnt fancy towing with a 406 long distance, and i think the weight of the towing vechile must be well over the weight of the items towing.

points and a fine of up to £1000, and in some cases maybe even a ban.

weight of a mini is minimal so this would be allowed..

just chance really if your driving locally i.e within town, then cant see any harm but any distance driving your running the risk of getting pulled.

hiring a van is not really what id want to do, may as well just matey that towed it to ford fair to do it if it comes to that.

i just seen the tow bar for £30 lol, so thought all it would cost then is fuel and a new clutch
