yeah they're great all rounders I've got 4 of them at the moment for sale, the 328 Sport is the one to have.

If you need an LSD go onto e36 forum, you'll get one out of an early 325 e36 they had them as standard the card with ASC dont have the lsd's fitted though.

Only the M3's and pre-facelift 328i sports had them as standard.

don't think an lsd was standard on all 325's. just the sports.

deffo wasnt standard on early E36 325s.

E30s had decent diffs in most 325s, but BMW gayed it up for the 36s

Also bear in mind that the 325i/M3 non-EVO one (3.15:1-ish ) is a shorter ratio than a std 328 manual diff (2.93:1 ) so you'll be cruising at higher revs for the same speed.

Don't buy an E36 M3 EVO rear LSD unless you get the WHOLE rear end - it's different to the M3 NON-EVO LSD and and the EVO one is a whole lot more work to fit

Whats the thing you can do to see if you have an LSD? Is it turn one wheel and if the other goes in he opposite direction you have LSD or something? obviously with the rear end up in the air...

M3 will require a few other parts. If you want i'll find you the post about them once e36coupe is back online.

Lots of BBS wheels up on ebay and e36coupe.com. The laquer on them is prone to peeling though

Ok, the officail word from members of e36coupe is that only the M3's came with LSD's as standard, all other models offered the optional extra of an LSD.

The early pre-face lifted 328's did seem to come with LSD's, but its uncertain whether or not these were a standard fit or not?

A 3.0 M3 diff can be swapped with a 328 diff to give you an LSD equipped item, whilst retaining the 328 flanges. 3.0 M3 diffs can also be swapped with non LSD equipped 325 diffs.

The 328 item has a higher ratio 2.93 instead of 325s (and m3s ) 3.15:1.

Evo diffs will not fit 328s or 325s.

HTH

Cheers

Just had the head gasket go on my mate's today.. spent ages trying to diagnose it until we got a coolant tester! bummer!

It's a lovely car though and it's done over 150k.

I am looking at flogging my Vectra SRI and going for 328i Sport with all the toys allready. Looking on pistonheads i should be able to get a reasonable one for £2500.. about what the Veccy is worth!
