ive just had the ecu sent back from jamsport they put a base map in it for me but it still wont run,it starts, runs for a few seconds then cuts out my idle control valve is not wired up so was wondering if it could be that? The gotech pro hasnt got a plug for the iscv so was wondering if i need to wire one in sumhow?? Also think it may be due to crank sensor, its a standard sensor from a 1.6 efi cvh xr3i,but dont know if a fiesta tubo one is different?? Its getting so frustrating now as its been off the road for 5 months till i could afford the management and now it still wont run, thinkin about giving up and breakin the thing

the sensors are the same was this loom not of a cossie? you need to get a gotech wiring diagram up so we can have a look and show you how to wire it you just have an ignition feed at the idle valve and a pwm output from the ecu. if it doesnt have an idle valve output then i wouldnt be fitting it!

Yes the loom was from a cossie but apparently there the same looms just use different plugs etc

Im going to have a look over the weekend and check all wires as i went off my mates management wireing as its the same but looking through the manual i should have earths on 2 pin outs but i know i havnt done that in the car, also theres 2 black wires on my mates that were earthed but in my manual its sayin they should be positive 12v so its a bit backward at the moment.

does it idle if you just leave it? i.e dont touch the thottle?

does it struggle then die? i.e rev slowly drop? or does it just cut out when instantly when left?

UPDATE; I checked fuel pump earlier and it had blown out its grommet on the holder so wasnt feeding the engine properly so sorted it out thinkin im a clever man tried startin engine again but still wont run i noticed puffs of smoke out the exhaust but couldt see what colour it was as it was dark by this time and couldnt smell it as it was blowing past the other side of the car i got an email from jamsport sayin all my wires were right so still got a problem somewere its like the engine is overfueling massively on start up but the ecu has just had a standard fiesta turbo map put in it so im puzzled about my next step now.i just feel like doing this to the car now
