Copied from discussions on 5310:

I purchased a 5310 phone over the weekend and got it home. First thing I wanted to do, this being a music playing phone was download some tunes. Instantly I noticed that the USB cover on the phone looked flimsy and was obstructive in getting the supplied USB cable cleanly in and out.

On just the 2nd day of owning the phone, the USB cable caught on the port cover, and as I removed it the cover popped straight out. I now can't get the cover back in and fear trying to force it will break the plastic tabs.

Do you think this would this be covered by warranty for repair or is there any easy way to get this back in that I've missed.

the plastic tab seems to be the type that, once removed, is destroyed and unable to be refitted

i suspect that it should have been the sort that you pull out and then flip down enough to get the usb to plug in but there is not enough space for it to fit and so you end up distorting the blanking plug to remove it and it doesn't seem to want to go back in again without further distortion, this in itself seems that it will just cause it to break when you try to remove it the second time
