Saw a post the other day, were someone had a result getting money back from paypal.

Im currently £470 down as i sold a phone and the guy claims it was unauthorised thru his credit card. so they refunded him thru my account.

im trying to get the money back to no avail. ive now reported the phone technically stolen, thru fraud to the police.

just want to know who to speak to about taking this matter further with the relevant people as im down a phone and a fair amount of cash that i dont think im liable for.

so if anyone can find the post as search doesnt show it up, unless it was deleted by the 'PF hacker'

if you sent via trackable delivery then the police will go to the address and hopefully arrest who signed for it. Not sure if there much else you can do if that don't come to nowt.

Going to compose a letter this week complaining, as to how i am the one who should bear the brunt of someone or paypals incompetence to keep its and its users information secure, enabling this scum to access someone elses credit card to pay for my goods.

there was something on bbc 3 counites radio last week when some fella from paypal had actually come in to discuss this sort of thing and said he would look into it

the scenario is that you sell stuff
the other person pays for it via paypal
you post it off
the other fella gets it but says there is a problem
paypal refunds their money
you are fucked both ways because your stuff don't come back

and that's apparently against the law or something

thats exactly my scenario

but whoever paid for it used someone elses card and a dodgy adress

spoke to the police sunday who said they would carry out there investigations and get back to me.
