Lambchop. Thats the thing the quoted weight figures for bikes are usually dry weight so it adds a fair few kilos with the fuel and fluids in, not to mention with 12 stone sat on it.

But anway, all the car drivers are quoted figures without taking the driver into account so i will for my bike too.

About 170 kilo and 125 bhp,

So mines 735 bhp/ton

More like 500 bhp/ton with me on it though.

My new bike without me on it will be about 1114 bhp/ton without me on it!

Still, about 765 bhp/ton with me on it though.

Smit,
Can you please tell me how you expect to achieve the times quoted WITHOUT a driver . Convert it to auto and use a brick on the accelerator and tie the steering wheel straight? .

im sure you will hammer it, infact, even i can run faster than the fucking thing after some stupid cunt made an illegal right turn and it ended up like this

ok, 180 is prob dry weight, so with fluids and full tank of fuel your looking at about another 30kg, and me on it its prolly about 300kg

ok that makes 333bhp/ton

it was still quicker than any car i raced lol

I am aiming for somewhere over 700 per t (800 was the target), It all depends how much I can spend on lightweight bits and how much Stu can squeeze out of a T38

I guess by the time I have finished it though ( ) 700 per t will be the norm for a hot hatch

Was just doing a comparison between the 2 to see how much 70kg (my weight) slowed the car down. Quite shocked on how close those quoted fiqures are compared to my timed ones... 0.2 second on the QTR isn't bad for 70kg is it....

yeah but check the torques per ton thats what pulls the weight
Veyron = 486 torque/ton

Mine off gas = 477 torque/ton (644ft-lb)
Mine on gas = 625 torque/ton (gas will give wayover 200ft-lbs so figure is conservative)

I think it is if you get a perfect launch and no wheelspin etc...

as the time it quotes for a FWD car with 450bhp is IMO way out

That software adds in the weight of a driver, thats why it asks for the weight without.

If its an american driver, that explains why Johnny thinks the times are too slow, cause he is about 15 stone lighter than the average american

All these power to weight figures are irrelevent though really as everyones quoting flywheel power. Its the power thats put down on the road that matters.

My 1964 Ford Anglia 105E is 187bhp and weighs 850kg's

This gives 220bhp per tonne

Its 151 at the wheels which gives a 'real' figure of 177bhp

Which aint bad for a 43 year old car...

'Ave it !!!

All these power to weight figures are irrelevent though really as everyones quoting flywheel power. Its the power thats put down on the road that matters.
This is all just light hearted fun & means nothing, you actually have to run your car against the clock to really see how fast it is, few do cos this is much easier .
