Default MPG on 400bhp escos?

What sort of MPG would you be getting with closed loop control on longer motorway runs?? 25mpg or more??

Thanks

I know, I know, I know, but Sam is having an operation on her knees in a couple of weeks from all her years dancing and she may not be able to get into it. That in itself isn't a problem , but we would need to sell to finance a 4x4

This is worst case scenario though and I am fighting it!

I'm hoping that I can pull something out of the bag come bonus time in March. You can get a nearly new suzuki Grand Vitara (what she had before) for silly money really.

The good news is she knows that if we sold the CSL and not replace it with a 'fun' car I'd go insane and end up buying something crazy 6 months down the line

However..............................

Can you not have her leg amputated? - simple solution and probably cheaper in the long run

Paul, this is spooky, but I know 3 people that have bought M3 CSL's, all three of then absolutely raved about the cars when they got them and ALL three sold them within a year and got back into turbo charged cars (2 x EVO's & 1 x Porker)

I really miss the old girl. Having said that I know that if I drove one again with the shonky gearchange, straight after the SMG, I'd see sense

I expect Bedford, which will be the first TD in the CSL, will put a huge grin on my face

Martin - it's both knees at the same time!! Amputating both just wouldn't be fair

Stick with the CSL at ALL costs Paul but in answer to your question, regardless of power at that level whilst driving in closed loop 30/35+ is easily acheivable!

On a motorway run to Ford Fair last year with the usual high speeds and traffic we still averaged around 35mpg

lol perfect height for a pub armrest.

She is getting both knees done at the same time? I thought you usually only did one at a time so you are still mobile etc, or did you mean you thought the amputation idea through and economy of scale meant it was best just to get them both at the same time

Why not just change the seats in the CSL for the recovery period, surely that is the cheapest and easiest idea, for some random beemer manual ones from a scrappy. Or are you too posh for that?

Definately too posh. Anyway, it's becasue the cars low that it's a problem. Once she's in she's fine. Anyway the op will sort her out and then I'm sure she'll be fine. It's both knees at the same time to avoid having anesthetic twice. It's only a flush out as there's tiny bits of bones in there Apparently they'll have her walking around the same day

The guy that owned that Ruf was just so nice as well! Made it harder to be jealous Said he would take us out in it, then when i was out in NathRs focus he doored the guy's son who was out in the yellowbird, so i never chased getting a lap as i did not want my heros destroyed with slow driving!

Now imagine having the CSL out there...... why are you selling again apart from the pony torque delivery!?

not too many - only differences at the moment are:

Just waiting for some bits to arrive before the interior is done - just gauges / secs monitor

Apart from that its pretty much the same tbh!
