Just got back..


I ride with a few guys from back in the day like... didn't even realise I was riding with royalty and sharing a curry with em too.

A couple of guys who rode with Andy Ruffel and a guy called Billy Stupple... I dont know Rob and Trevs surnames but apparently they were on a few videos and stuff

I am a bit young for it.. ( thats sounds cool at 27 ) most of the guys I ride with are 40+

at Corby on Thursday Stupple was doing "old skool drop ins" on the 14.5ft high Vert

(thats where they drop in from the back wheels...... which is fuckin hardcore)

Me back in the day,about 22 years ago!!!!Was big time into the BMX racing,I'm riding a Peugeot factory team frame and forks,made from Reynold's 501 tubing throughout,Shimano DX cranks,Suntour bearcage pedals,Uni Turbo Seat/Seatpost,Tioga Comp 3 tyres etc etc.Hell I cant remember the rest of the spec,long time ago!!!!
But I do remember I'm wearing Bob Haro pants and top and sliders (worn on the arms to protect in case of a fall).Regards,Micky..........remembering way back into my youth!!!

but never got one . i bilt a GT insted .. GT frame and forks... GT barrs ..GT seat post.. ZED rimes.. BEAR trap pedals ... SORRY NO PHOYOS OF IT

AND i still to this day have bumps on my legs when i slipped of the pedals and they dug in to my legs

I skate and love it

I ride an old skool "Alva leopard" which i also use for cruising to the beech when i visit my mums in spain. Heres a pic of it....erm.....on the beech

And heres a pic of it set up with "Gyros" for Ramps and Pool riding

Recently, my mate has dug out his old Bmx from the loft and restored it aad we got talking as he didnt realise that there was a lot of old skaters and bmxicans that are back into it
Back in the day, well early 80's he was a pro rider and used to be on BMX Beat,Blue Peter and Time Out
His Picture of him doing Big Air out of the Performance Bowl at the Rom is still hanging in the shop there.
Heres a shity pic i took on my Phone of one of the Post Cards he used to sign and hand out to "Fans"

And just after he finished restoring the bike he tagged along with us Skaters and Skaterham and heres a pic of his first time on it and in fact the first time back on a bmx in just over 20 years
I thought he done well to get as high as he did for his first time in such a long time. It took me about four seshions before i could frontside the coping as the pipe is 11 Feet high
He wants to tag along with us in the summer to the Rom again as he wants to see if he can still ride the pools

Dont ask me any techy q's as i'm a skater and dont know anything about bmxicams although i respect what they do. Its just the "Gay Bladers" i dont get

used to race at our local track at teesside airport, raced at the same meet as andy ruffel and chris someone ( was it White?) he was ruffels main competitor at the time, never got in the same race tho as I got knocked out early on , raced in team halfords colours lol
