Default Smoky diesels??

Yes, I know they do, but my 04 Mondeo TDCi smokes quite a bit when I first start it from cold and sounds like its running on 3 for about 20 secs after you start it, then it's fine.

Runs perfectly well the rest of the time, but doesn't seem very "positive" when you start it warm, runs with the battery light on for a few seconds before it settles down. It's done 66k now BTW.

Any ideas?

How easy is it to get the fuelling checked etc?

Had the glow plugs changed a few weeks ago, made no difference.

I'd whack some injector cleaner in there.. My Dads TD5 Disco does this every so often and injector cleaner sorts it.

Been running it on the additive stuff for a while now, no difference.

Rang a local diesel specialist to book it in for a diagnostic, said they don't do Ford TDCi's at all anymore cos they're shit.
