seriously tho hixxy and co killed the rez imo

The UK was breakbeat up until 1994 or there abouts. A hell of a lot of the dutch and scottish influence started working its way in and destroyed what with love as Junglehardcoretechno (martyn back me up!).
So we then got our own back on the jocks and flooded them with "happy" hardcore a year or two later.

rez wasnt the same without dj rap & co but i kinda liked the dutch stuff (the harder stuff anyway) and i still do....my main love in life now is hardstyle

1994
New Years Eve 1993 proved to be a watershed event for Rezerection, as 1994 saw the demise for the traditional London style breakbeat sound favoured by the regular Rez DJs like Grooverider, SS and Seduction. The new Rez sound was heavily influenced by the Dutch and German hardcore scenes and the likes of Westbam, Tanith, Dye Witness and GTO took over from Grooverider, SS and N-Joi as hard trance, bouncy techno and gabba dominated the Scottish scene.
maybe an answer here

Personally from experience in the North East anyway, we were more influenced by the scottish/dutch bouncy harder type style back in the day. Now all the bairns into rave listen to the Spanish Makina/Italio House.
BTW some of those newer tunes are quite
, but not as good the older stuff.
Whenever i hear Helter Skelter etc it just sounds a bit gay tbh!
Sorry...

recorded in england at a guess coz the mc wasnt A- one of the ones i recognise from rez etc B- scottish
was more techno sounding than some of the more popular hardcore mixes ive heard him do
anyone got any ideas?
