Top Gear's Clarkson Forced Into U-Turn

Motormouth Jeremy Clarkson - who derided the loss of two computer discs containing benefit claimants' personal details - has been hit by an internet scam.

Clarkson forced to eat humble pieThe Top Gear presenter and pundit described the loss of the bank details of seven million people as a "storm in a teacup" despite fears of mass identity theft and fraud.

Clarkson printed his own bank details in a newspaper to hammer home the point that his money was still safe and the spectre of identity theft a sham.

He also gave instructions on how to find his address on the electoral roll and details about the car he drives.

However, in a rare moment of humility, Clarkson has now revealed he has lost at least £500 after an unidentified reader copied his details to set up a direct debit payable from his account to the British Diabetic Association.

The charity is one of many organisations which does not need a signature to set up a direct debit.

Heard about this on the radio this morning, did make me chuckle...

 

I think you'll find that it is actually old English. It's a proverb that I am posting on an internet forum not somewhere that I need to be grammatically correct. IF you knew me, which you dont, you would know I am very capable in area............

The reason it's been dropped for common usage, is that it's a passive verb. You can't have a situation acting passively on a subject.

Sorry, but I just find it very irritating..... but then it's Dom, so we should excuse him.

People find different things funny though Rich. There are some seriously warped fucked up weirdo's out there hidden a way that might say you have some comedic intellect For some reason I find 'That'll learn him' funny but it is starting to get annoying being 'corrected' everytime I say it

I think you'll find that was intentional error, which I put in as a subtle attempt to be witty however, seeing as no-one seemed to notice I thought i'd follow up with something more obvious with the "this will learn me' comment.
