Cleaning a K&N 57i

Hi all,

Just wondering what people use to clean and oil their cone induction filters. I know K&N do a recharge kit but was wondering if people clean and oil theirs without using it and what do they use.

Only use K&N's own cleaner, but don't buy the recharge kit.

Buy the biggest bottle of cleaner you can get and the smallest bottle of oil!!

The recharge kit will see you run out of cleaner LONG before you run out of oil!

can you buy the two separately? anyone know anywhere where they can be bought separately and for a decent price? been hunting on ebay but not much luck

Any decent K&N dealer should be able to sell you the cleaner and oil separately.

I think it's the 12 fl-oz bottle that I have and the smallest tin of oil lasts forever. If you buy the kit you really will run out of cleaner.
