I believe they drill a very small hole in the head and use a camera with a lens that can exceed high temps

fibre optics its made of glass so can withstand highish temps anyway!

It's probably a Ricardo signle cylinder development engine - I use to use them at Ford for R&D.

Seriously expensive!

Its basically a glass window in the head - you can even have a window in the piston and look up at the spark plug.

is it me or does it just repeat the same footage over and over as it does not finish the exhaust stroke properly? Still pretty cool to see though
