adam ya gotta brun the old bushes out and then push em when they smoldered, dont use ya hand as that shit is bad for ya once burnt

then ya gotta cut the sleeves on the arms that the bush is held in place with usuing a hacksawm again dont get the ruber bits on ya though

then and spend ages with the copper greese trying to make the fooking things fit and stop the stainless sleeves poping out and ya there

i i knew ya was doing it mate i woukld have went me garage and got on of mine to show ya as mine almost done but i aint gonna finish the car now am i

We use a bench vice and 2 suitable pieces of tubing.

They have to be pressed out gradually.

Ginge - Set them on fire Glad you dont work for our team

Did mine this way too , by using 2 sockets, one slightly smaller than the part its being pressed out of, and into a bigger socket

My main challenge at the mo is removing the original bushes, which is probably gunna be harder than putting new ones in I guess if they have been in there from new So , realistically I dont have the tools really to burn them out, I have a bench vice and plenty o hand tools tho! What are my best options? Don't care if I have to smash the shit out of them to get them off wont be used again

My method above works well.

Put the smaller socket onto one side of the bush (this socket should ideally be very slightly smaller than the part it is being pushed out of , in your case the rear arm) put the larger socket the other side of the bush place it all in the vice and tighten , thus pushing the smaller socket through the arm ,removing the bush into the bigger socket .

If this dont work , buy a blowtorch from the local hardware store and heat the bush/arm up first

HTH

Takes less than 30 seconds with two bits of tube or some sockets like Gaz W uses Cant see what all the fuss is about
