Default YB powered Focus'? whats the deal

how much would a proper YB converted RWD mk1 focus cost to buy? lets say 330 - 390 bhp.

How much to build aswel.

cant really be bothered with the D.I.Y. project but just curious what would be my advantages if i did so, Money being the key factor.

want a newish car with Cosworth power.

Good idea or not

Building one wouldn't leave you much change out of 20k at the least I would imagine to finish it to a half decent spec...

330-390 BHP can all be done on a YB on std internals to not a huge price difference in that respect. The money will be in the ancilleries and brakes/ suspension etc..

LS 1/2 engine is an all alloy V8 think they are 5.7, but can be overbored to fuck, the new engine ( an LS7) is 7.0 .... I belive that no-one has done a V8 focus yet, but there are probably a few around. Chip is the one to talk to about the LS engines.

I know, but dark greens wont make 390bhp, and light blues or greys would surely be wasted at 330,

so, what power?

Std engine, T34.48, maybe a BD14 inlet if you can be arsed pocketing the pistons, Black injectors ( webber x038's I think, MSD sells them) , 500 cooler and an MSD live map, you have as near as makes no diffence a better than standard drive and a reliable 400/400 BHP/Lbs-ft engine

hhmmmm.... was thinking more along the lines of an everyday car..... RWD YB focus everyday car???????

but 20k sounds a bit too much, would be a waste of money in my current situation. was hoping to find a already built one.

0-100 in 7.5 on a shonky old T4/ 8 injector engine is not shy considering it was RWD as well, belive it ran mid 11's as well .... I was very very close to building one but the ŁŁŁ involved would be stuipd as I am a nightmare for having to have the best of everything

on a .48 that sounds a bit wrong a .63 on a t34 would just about do that with turbo killing spike but i might be wrong but the most ive seen a t34.48 do on modern piss fuel in around 350

.48 will do 380, a 63 a bit more but you loose a fair bit of your low/midrange

from what you say i can tell you are not involved in property. you seem to be picking up on everything i say.... you no doubt have more tuning knowledge than me but please between me, my old man and our business partner we got 7 houses.

2 in langly so yes greater london. but all over the south of england aswel.

i'll put it this way, with even 15k you can get you a decent priced house, just need to know the business .... i hope you dont think people pay the full amount of a house when buying one with cash or cheque.
