I have a problem guys.
I use an Escort 55 TD van for work. Except the turbo doesn't work, well I don't think it does.
When towing my trailer I can only get 55mph, without I can get 90mph.
What I want to know is does anyone including Graceland know anybody that has a spare lying about?

I sold my escort turbo diesel for £50 to someone off here, last I heard it still runs well

So can't really help you anymore than that

I thought the turbo only added a few bhp anyway, and my non turbo wouldnt hit 90mph unless you used the whole lenght of the M4

I had a mk4 escort NON TURBO diesel, and after upping the fuel pump pressure it hit 114mph, acceleration was still shit though!!

i had 110 out of my old van, use to shake and rattle, probably things fell off but it would do it

I know it takes ages to get to a good speed in a van, but it's sooooo sluggish. Nothing rattles in this van it's quite solid.
Tabetha how did you up the fuel pressure and then did you blow up the van because of the increase?
I was going to try a replacement turbo first failing that 'Project 130' in the New Year.
