Price - wouldn't worry about that , they're about as common as hen's teeth with the correct ratio

OK, thought it was bigger, must have just been a cheap source of 2wd diffs they were on about rather than a bigger diff than 2wd...
Does share 4x4 ratios, is bigger than standard escos and cheaper so can afford to replace more often

a ecoz diff is 7 inch
a 2wd diff is 7.5 inch
most grannys are 7.5 diffs with diffent ratios
granny cozzy only had the slipper diff
hope this helps
the only thing that breaks on the diff is planet and sun gears which you can buy in a kit so if you have 2 diffs get one fixed and then you have a spare

brom i dont understand?

you say they shit, but they're bigger than std Esccos ones?

im lookin at putting one in mine rather than the std 4x4 diff... as it saves all the agro of changin shafts n stuff

if this is a bad move, can ya tell me why?

Safe to 250bhp at the rear wheels (when they can't spin and a LOT more when they can - as in a 2wd car), so about 400bhp ish flywheel in a 4x4. Obviously a lot more if you don't go launching....

I reckon the planet gears are weaker in a 7.5" than a 7".
If you want reliability, fit an aftermarket slipper
You'll find all the options on my website at www.gearboxman.co.uk [/end of shameless plug]

jimbo you got nothing to worry about with you v6 power as there not got enuf power to pull the skin of a rice puddling let lown break planet and sun gears
