You can always use the thicker metal comectic headgasket (as long as your block isn't wire rung) to drop the compression but i would get someone who knows what their doing to measure the head & the compressed thickness of the cometic gasket to work out the comp ratio.

Result
the reason i think ive got a problem with the head is graham goode think that coopers rings are decent, and my car had a new gasket last year so they think my heads gone soft
or was it that im soft in the head

Ill get ypur head off tomorrow jon c what has gone wrong (off your car i mean)!
I will also cheak head c if its like a nana!
Any one one here know what the max is for skimming ?
I was told once aslong as the surface is no lower than the end of the exhanst stud?
That sounds a bit of a rough guide to i would rather cheak it properly.
If to much is skimmed off is there a chance of valves toutching pistons?
Suppose thats a daft question it has Big valve cut outs in pistons

Apparently there piper cams, but they dont say bd14 or bd15 theyve just got 3 or 4 numbers on the end so it looks like whoever does my head may have to send them back to piper to find out
