Default Working in another country?? thoughts?

I got the option soon to maybe go work in either America (I have a few states to choose from) or Dubai (tax free!)..

Whats your thoughts?

Now as much as I want to go do it for a year or so for the experience. Its a big move and Im undecided I haven't got a clue whats making me not want to go, This country is beyond fucking joke at the moment, And I know If I went to somewhere like America or Dubai.. Id have a bloody good time!

I cant do anything just yet as Im still in the Forces

Would you go? Im only 23 aswell.....

Radders. Do it. I'd do the same without a doubt.

We travel to so many countries anyway so the travelling or being away isn't it.

Go for it without a doubt. Very good money to be had working away

So you've got a plan from June onwards mate - more than most have. Stick to it, book your flight in April so it'll be cheaper in advance and fuck off. There's nothing to stop you.

Start talking to them now mate, alot to finalise and confirm. Lets be honest, IIRC one of the things you were most looking forward to when you first came back from the Falklands shagging penguins was a KFC..........feck me, if that's all there was to come back here for then why on earth would you not want to fuck off elsewhere ?

That is only because they have FUCK all over in the Falklands and the food is shit.... makes a KFC look like a 5 star hotels main course!

Ive probably had about 4 since being back... and I came back last august!

Maybe you can ask them if they will let you out earlier if you secure the job. I have known it in the past. Maybe you should ask

Could getting out on medical grounds affect you in future employment or even this one. I'd get everything organised now for when you get out. Then you have something to look forward too

if you have the chance to go then take it. i quit my job and went to work in holland for a few months just for a change and enjoyed it that much i ended up staying for 2 years. i wish i had done it sooner in my early 20's rather when i hit 30.i was in the process of going through my application for a moving to the states when september 11th happened and knocked that on the head so i ended up back in the uk .unfortunately my days of travelling are behind me now as i have a young family. its harder if you are going to a country that doesnt speak english for obvious reasons and it can get a bit lonely at times as you cant really even chat to folk in pubs etc but it does encourage you to learn a foreign language to get by.being away also makes you appreciatte your own country a bit more for when you return back . is there any tax havens for british citizens? isnt it down to being out of the country for a certain time per tax year? the inland revenue told me that it doesnt matter where you are in the world ,if your not away long enough you still have to pay uk tax although i dont know how they would know what you were earning. i cant remember the amount of time you have to be away for per year as it was a few years ago now.

i thought it was more than 6 months me and my mate decided on the spur of the moment after reading a job add in the paper, jacked our job in on the thursday and were in holland by the sunday ready to start our new job the following monday morning.its the best way to do it as it doesnt allow any time for you to think about things and worry about what your doing.it was difficult to adjust at first with even the simple things like buying a newspaper or ordering a takeaway being a struggle. holland was a good place for me to go as 90% of the natives speak english as they are taught it in school and in general the majority of dutch like the british and are friendly and welcoming unlike the germans or the french.
i have been considering a move to australia recently whilst my family are still young to adjust easily as my dad is an aussie and still lives there so i could just go there and claim residency on arrival especially as im a joiner to trade as well but as always its the woman who hold you back because they are always reluctant to change and move away from their family.
