Default rst engine building question?????

Right im getting cvh bottom end rebuilt for my rst got all parts just got to get machineing work done.Ive got std size pistons is it worth getting them skimed to lower comp a little(i no this aint best way but ive allready had low comp pistons and they got smashed up when last block went bang )

If so how much should be took off them????

depends what you want from it? What power are you looking. No point lowering the compression if it's not necessary for your power target.

Dont no really anything over 200bhp will do me fine got a stg3 head on way and now after a stg 3 turbo got few other mods too so should easy see it.

Who's building the engine? Really should be specd by them. There is no magic compression ratio that is the best.

best bet is to give someone like Karl Norris an e-mail. tell him what you want to achieve and let him spec it for you. Rather than ring around "wahts the best price on x" go with one person and get them to spec it all together.

You won't go wrong with Karl. He sorted my cam/turbo for my car, transformed it. the new owner just did 112mph terminal at the pod!
