Default How to remove ....

.... 2 things of a car...

First is window stickers... Need to get rid of the 2 HUGE tracker stickers on the rear windows...

Then someone had put a sticker / line on the side of the car, just where there is that kind of elbow along the side. Although this is now gone, there is still some glue residue left there. Tried wax / polish, not shifted it. What next?

Thanks.

Hot water kills the glue on stickers... put some on the stripe lines as well and use a nail.... then white spirits to get rid of the glue on the window, don't use it on the paint though as it may discolour it.

T-Cut will get rid of the ones on the paint then polish

VERY light rubbing with white spirit or any alcohol based cleaner/remover.. VERY light, and have a 2nd cloth/sponge reay with just water and wipe over the section you used the alcohol cleaner immediately...

If you do say, 3-4 inches at a time, cleaning off then wiping/rinsing off with water straightaway you should be perfectly fine.

This is how I removed the rubbing strips down the side of my XR3i when I got it and do it this way you won't fuck up the paint

for the windowsticker use a hairdryer, heat the sticker softly till it comes off

for the glue residue use some nail polish remover (disolvant) or thinner or spirit wipe
that will do the trick

I'm sure I recognise that car! Did it come from round Stoke way? I'm sure someone tried to sell it to me previously as 575bhp when it was on 4 greens

Use a blade from a stanly knife to remove the window stickers, but use it at an angle obviously to not scratch the window. Then clean any remaining residue off with window cleaner...

yep, I'll do but only twice a year

use some regular polish OR you can go for the Autoglym Glass Polish

it just stops them being kind of foggy, that's why I do this

Err.... no don't think so....
It is on 4 dark greens but only does 350bhp... Surely you can't get 500bhp on greens... can you??

But hey... what am I talking about...

Anyhowm I am sure there are others similar to that one...

Love BMs too... but my heart goes to the big big ones... Women hey...

Used to have an 850CSi manual... was sooo nice... loved it! Bit heavy at the pump tho... shame it had to go....

See, I did the oposite... went from fast... to boring... to fast again!!!
Don't believe I am going to go the "reasonable and sensible" route again soon...

You should come to Berks meeting at end of month if you want to see it...

Don't worry, nothing wrong with the car just the dreamer trying to sell me something it wasn't for top money before I knew anything about Cossies

Probably not even the same car - was a good few years ago now!
