Default Any excel boffins please?

I need some help with a spreadsheet I've made. Basically it is a time sheet for when I am at work and when I clock out to go on lunch etc.

We have a flexi system though where you can arive anywhere up until 9.30am. You must work 9.30-12 you then have a 2 hr window to take lunch (30 mins minimum) and then you must be at work from 2-4pm and can leave anytime after 4 as long as you actually work 7.5hrs a day (well, 37.5 hrs a week they're not really fussed about the day as by accumilating positive flex allows to you leave at 4 some days or have the afternoon off etc.).

If you work say 8.30-5 with 30mins break you will get 30mins+flex if you don't clock onto overtime. Say if you clocked onto overtime at 4.45 then went home at 5 you'd get 15mins flex and 15mins overtime

The trouble I seem to be having is this: Say if I work 9-4 with 1hr break that is 6 hrs work so i would be -1.5hrs flex but the cell won't show up as a minum figure, it will just come up with ##### The cell is formatted to a time cell that will add up to over 24 hrs (i.e not a time of the day cell)

If anyone can help or possibly have a look for me that would be great, I can email it to you

Many thanks,

James

May sound a little daft but is the cell wide (column width) enough to display the full information. Cells will display hashes when numbers dont fit into the cell, typically dates does this.

I aint no excel buff but know a few basics.
