Matt - ring an agency who specialises in what you do in your area.
Tell them what you want.

Also... I dont put my salary or expectations as I am only applying for jobs that offer what I would be prepared to work for anyway.

This time of the year there is increased volume so more bodies needed to perform the work inside and out so its worth a try at your local place,

Despite the recent upset and a rather damaging programme on channel 4 iirc, I think RM is not a bad company to work for, it has some great benefits and is a "regular" job a good pension scheme but that is now in review with the idea and plans in the near future to change it, for the worse for the better? truthfully I don't know

tbh mate i'm having the same.
I had a managerial(sp) roll within a blue chip company.
I'm trying to get work but my c.v is working against me.
I have experience of running a team of over 30 people. But it is working against me.
All the jobs i see is working doing nothing in importance and been a shelf stackerand when i apply (not been funny but) the person who interview's me is less qualified and i'm am more suited to the job. And they're not happy for me going for a job under them .
I took a company and increased profit by an 327% year on year . Which was a true 258% on target. And i still cant get a job

if someone feels you are better qualified than them then you wont get near the place ..
they dont want someone appearing and then making them look pants at their job...
why employ someone that could then be promoted over you ..

apply for jobs you have no chance of getting, at least you are applying for mroe than just menial labour jobs and it might get you into a position where you find something you like doing as well

my last boss blagged his way into the job i currently do and he had no experience whatsoever
it started to show after about 6 months and after that it was just a matter of time befoer he went, so that's why no one will employ you into a position at the bottom rung of the ladder

what you could also try and do is look for jobs that have an advertised salary, so that way you can meet your slary requirements and see what sort ofjobs there are out there that meet that criteria

The thing you will find is the company will see you as being over qualified so although you need a job,

The company will be thinking this guy wont stay here long as he is qualified for greater things, hence why should we waste money and training to someone whom will only stay a few months.

Sad state of affairs to be in, but you can only keep trying.

I would not state previous earnings on your c.v wait until they offer you the salary they are willing to pay then play your cards

job centre
at least you know what's out there
paper ads tend to offer more money but then again, it depends on which sector you want to work in really

I cant believe how hard it is, I'm not applying for manager or supervisor roles here, just average steady jobs that will get me some money in before I go homeless

As above, perhaps if I change my name to Radoslaw Wyzicksy I might be in with a chance
soooo true though
