Default jobs you forget on your car??? :(

Put my car into TOTD, and completley forgot about the brakes it 'was' my first job to do on the car before it went in.. anyway, time passes and I forget get the car back, dont think, Im happy as larry and give it a good caining coming up to the junction, and nothing

I hear this 'noise' on a tap of the brakes and think "oh fuck" , yes, its hits me, i know whats wrong I have no brakes! handbrake, and gears it is! managed to stop, but fuck me,.... seriously... no brakes AINT good I think tonight, after 6 years of karting and driving,I properly shit myself

Fucking glad I got them sorted...

I wont tell you the speed I was doing

I remember i changed the pads on my mates series1(Pushed the piston in to fit the pads),but forgot to pump the brakes when i finished.Took it for a quick spin. When i came to the first junction and my foot went to the floor,i shit my self, went straight into the path of a BT VAN and was t-boned.

My mate still hasn't forgiven me.You should of seen his face when i went and knocked on his door."IS MY CAR ALL FINISHED"?? he said...

Had a pal who did that at 70mph on the M1 in an astra gsi with a cav v6 lump in, it rubbed through the disk and balljoint, he managed to stop safely but had to walk half a mile over a field to get his wheel back

i've never made a mistake by "forgetting" to do up a nut or bolt when i work on cars

perhaps it's just me being lucky

but i do remember jim sending his car round to a ford mate he had to change the tca bushes
the "friend" "forgot" to put the washers back in again, resluting in jims motor being fucked when he reveresed it round a corner

Thought I'd post on here as I did exactly the same as the above. Although i drove 250mile where the car was mapped for a few hours then drove the car back.

500mile round trip with no washers. One of them gave up the ghost after 2mile the following morning. Not one of my finest moments although I consider myself very lucky.
