Hi I have a DELL inspiron 1300 laptop with 1.5ghz (celeron i think) processor and 250mb RAM (shared graphics memory). TBH its pretty pants, but does what i need of it
I'm looking to upgrade the RAM to maybe 1gb and maybe a faster processor. Can some one please tel me what type of RAM i need and how many sticks (can it be used singular or in pairs) and also what exact processor type i need.
Also a place to buy them from over the internet would be very handy
Thanks for any help
Bri.
P.S MODS please let it hang around for a little bit before moving it i need a quick answer, cheers

And you say processor? i havent heard of people upgrading processors in laptops, im not really clued up on them as ive never owned one but certainly sticking another gig in there would make things MUCH quicker

Bloody cheap that is, especially when compared to desktop pc memory.
If your unsure how to install it just go onto google and type in "installing laptop memory" and you will find how-to guides and all sorts

Forget upgrading the CPU in a laptop, the whole laptop is engineered around the CPU/Cooling, etc...
I would be very surprised if the CPU was even on a socket, most likely welded to the motherboard.
Now, don't ask how you change the motherboard either will you !
Memory upgrade probably best thing you could do. 1.5Ghz is still pretty good these days for a laptop.
