actives are allowed for non-works teams only, if i remember right.

Anyone?
i would think you would only need active diffs when you are struggling for traction like when in a forest stage

if your on track or road its just more weight to pull around

Unless you put your wallet in the car with you just after you have bought some active suspention

40k fuck that, does it really add that much to the handling??

The active option in its day was a 15K, still adds up when you buy all the correct hardware, the kulite tranducers are Ł400 a piece.....and there's 4 of those....rexroth valves, pressure reg valves, valve blocks and controllers.....probs still 8 - 10K to do it today....

Mike,

The T10 has suffcient I/O's to support all engine function and still have enough for the diffs IIRC certainly on a Escos....

my car has three, as per the original boreham config, 1 T6 and 2 Gems FFD controllers.

The use of passive front and rear diffs was due to a regulation change as you say Gareth, centre is still active, but they actual have recorded faster times in the S12 subaru in the passive car as opposed to the active car...so the dream cos would probably have a trick active centre diff with passive front and rear....
