Whats the typical losses for manual rwd cars? and what it is for auto rwd cars?

im guessingt 12% and 15%?

any takers?

as far as im aware roughly 35 hp fwd, 60 hp rwd and 100 hp 4x4.

as far as im aware roughly 35 hp fwd, 60 hp rwd and 100 hp 4x4.
I dont belive RWD is much/any worse than FWD.

Be suprised if 4wd is really as much as 100 too TBH.

Thing is tuners and owners like to claim its loads to make their cars sound more powerful than they really are.

Its all bollocks, thats why USA, Oz, Nz, never ever use flywheel numbers, as they complete bullshit and only a guess at best.

thats what ive always thought

altho i thought with manuals you could get a flywheel reading?

Surely it is percentage as a 60bhp rear wheel drive car cant have 0 at the wheels!

its a MASSIVE load of shite.................depends on the quallity of the transmission for one thing..............but Stu from MSD wrote an artical in fast ford mag.................imagine the power loss and translate it into kilo whatts of power..............................FUCK ME..........................it would melt the fuckn car.........................
