Default anti-surge holes

Has anyone got anti-surge holes on their turbo compressors? Do they really help? Any other effects(noise, output, etc..)?

Yes.

They lessen the changes of surge a bit, though also decrease compressor efficiency slightly.

And they make the turbo spooling sound MUCH louder, like loads. Ported shroud inlet turbos whistle like fook.

Many cars that have them as standard have silencers fitted to hide the noise as its fucking loud.

Tis awesome, lol

Mine has. I love the noise, doesn't surge either.

Well, doesn't now as it has no turbine wheel.

Obviously that is a compressor map. What does the mean. Obviously the surge points of a ported shroud turbo and a non ported shroud turbo. Can you explain the levels?

Is there a massive difference in when the turbo would surge in that compressor map?

Would like to understand things like this
