Default PC help

Not used my PC all last week, but the old qween has,
I starts it up yesterday, no sound

The old qween says she aint done owt, there is only me admin on it, had a look and cant find anything, all volume etc showing as on,
Anyone any idea's (apart from feeding the Old Qween to the Lions)

You checked the Master Volume icon (little speaker) on the Taskbar (bottom right hand corner of the screen)??

Sometimes something may have muted it there, worth a fiddle.

when you open a mp3 what happens? does media player etc load up and the bar move across? or do you get an error?

Im going off here now but if all else fails and you just cant get the sound back it might be worth doing a system restore back to the last time you DID have sound.

If you dont know how to do that ill let Christian explain

Done a restore to last Saturday - Zilch.
Checked the volume thingy on bottom right - Normal
When I open up an MP3 it shows it as playing, just no sound.

Yes

Went through the spaz proof checking everything this morning before setting about the old qween with kitchen utensils
