Default shiny or not???????????????

i just had a idea for some kind of vote regarding engine bays???

Do you prefer chromed and polished to the teeth??

Or an nice tidy bay (still has to be clean like no oil or cack)
Eg crackle black???

Thinkn this would be an interesting discussion so let me know

i seen a few saphs and rs turbos with the crackle and it looks nut plus saves the hassle of having to spend hours on that mirror finish!!!

Shiny stuff is too much work for me, just keep it nice and tidy and stick to your idea.

personally i dont like the shiny bling, much prefer the look of painted/powdercoated parts instead, im not one for polishing things and shiney bits always look shit with fingerprints all over them.

im undecided

ive always like shiney chrome engine bays, but my one is a pain in the arse, alright it doesnt look that good in my eyes but i was happy with it

until i had to start cleaning etc, it also gets easily scratched

so its staying as it is for now, then next year its going to be black tanks i think as it will look cleaner, simpler and easy to keep clean

but i want to go quip on most things in the bay aswell

this is how it stands at the minute

or will be when i get my engine back in

I like the bling bling bits but it does take a lot of time and effort to keep them looking mint,

the engine bays in this thread are quality Ripley's escort is bad ass

I'd like to think I've a few bling bits under my bonnet, here's a shot

All the parts are alloy thats either been annodised, powder coated in fish scale crackle or painted in jet plane paint (Radders ) apart from the Airbox lid which is Carbon painted

Went OTT on the black eh?

Anyone who spends money and time making an engine bay look nice needs to get a life IMO. Its an engine bay FFS, who cares what it looks like as long as it all works....
