Shit day at work!!!

Working in Camden, North London. I HATE North London and Camden isn't exactly the greatest place either. The building i was working in was like a squat hole and there was zero parking near by.

About a three minute walk was the nearest park machine.

£4.80 for two hours, no return!

So that meant from around 7.45am untill around 5.15pm i would of needed to move the van a minimum of four times into four different streets! (i never move the van normally but was advised by others on site that they would ticket me if i was in the same street more than once)

Anyway,

Parked and payed up first time,

Went back for second round but was 8 minutes late! £80 fine slapped on my van! Wernt happy!! Anyway, not much i could do but huff and puff so moved the van and payed up!

Third time, went back 15 minutes early, moved the van and payed up!

Fourth time, next machine swallowed my money!!! Phoned up and got an answer after the third attempt!!! Aapparently getting sent a refund form now!! Anyway, moved again and payed again!! Now over £18 paid and an £80 fine!

Fifth time back, later in the day rushing as havn't got much done due to all this fucking around, was 2 minutes late and was running down the street and actully saw them put it in my screen! Another poxi £80 fine! I must of used the C word in massive amount!!! Anyway, after bit of an argument & getting nowhere, a moan up to my company about what a joke this job is, in total it cost me around £195 to go to work today and got done no more than half of what i should of!!!

Not bloody happy!!!

Going back there tomorrow aswell!!!

Don't know what to do!!!!!

 

Get a taxi it'll be cheaper

 

get some number plates made up and stick em on

If you get ticketed again best to leave it where it is. They can't issue more than one ticket per day for the same spot - as long as they don't clamp as well.

 

do you need your van ???
if not.. find the nearest mainline station park the van and get the tube



they will clamp it then shift it ...

 

stay away from London ... I would hate to have to be there for more than a day at a time..

 

you get a few minutes grace afterwards
contest the tickets and say that the times the tickets were issued were only minutes after you were out of time

 

Let me know next time mate, i know some places to park wheer you wont get charged the earth either.

im in london everyday so have picked out where the best places are and the quickest ways in and out of the hell hole

Ring in sick!

I absolutely hate London parking and the traffic. In fact i hate everything about the place. Why anyone wants to live there by choice i dont know.

 

Even most of the multistorys are asking crazy prices..... £11 an hour is the worst I've seen, that was in Covent Garden.... and also is one which I promptly reversed back out of...

 

I love working in north London, firstly the mighty gunners are round the corner

Secondly i can park at a relatives for the day for free and its cctv parking with security guards

 

Try the N.C.P around the back of the ritz, what were hasd my £100 float gone for 8hrs parking

 

that is just ripping the cunt
