Default Tv wall mounting question

Im in the process of lining up my cantilever wall bracket onto a brick wall of my living room alcove. The trouble is the wall is a bit warped so the backing plate that bolts onto the wall rocks from corner to corner like a pub table if you know what i mean!

The plate is about half inch thick. Will the bolts pull it into the wall so it is flush with it? I dont want my new tv smashed to bits! The bolts are about 3.5inch long What should i do?!!!

PLEASE help
