is there anyway you can connect with a wire first....then switch to wireless??

i had to do this to get my PS3 to run wireless, dunno if the PSP would be the same.

i'm sure he's probably done that....even with the WEP key my PS3 struggled to connect...til i first used a wire to get connected, after that it would connect without the wire fine.

The psp will connect to the local network, if you have a wireless network that is secure (and for gods sake ensure you have) then simply enter in the encryption key after selecting the correct SSID wireless network, same as if you was putting a laptop or pc on it, only you may have to do is use the exact same key as other machines (key 1, or 2) specifiec by the router.
