I've got a mk2 VTS, nice runabout, cant fault it
Only common problems are same as the 106, the back axle bushes, usaually needs a complete swap and can be expensive unless you have a local breakers with one in, you'll know if it needs doing if you go out in it
How much are you willing to spend?

I want a saxo VTR as my next car, i got a 306 d turbo atm tho. What do they go like? Slow or nippy or what? Was thinking of putting a VTS engine straight in though if it's an easy swap?

Chop has my borthers old VTS and my bro now has a 1.1 for going back and forward to uni.
IMO they are good wee cars that not alot going wrong.
The car in question is worth more than 800 quid...possibly 1200

Hmmmm might look further into it then if worth near 1k. THe car is quite straight few little dings, nothing major. Plastic a bit faded but can soon sort that out. other than that looks in good condition, as said been used as shopping car and just been poddled about. If i would get it i would bufty it for a laugh just to see what it would come out like. Hmmm sounding tempting now though more thinking of it.

GF has one - does crazy high mpg but think its her driving. Enjoyed it round mull etc giving it abuse - not fast in any sense but fun enough. Coils go on them too and are pricey so see if its been done recent although i dont know how long they are supposed to last.
Oh and every 17 year old in a 1000mile radius will want to race you no matter what they are in!!!! lol

Had a few as runners good wee cars, as said above back axels and coils are main things to lok out for also leaking sunroof seals are common. I would say its worth around 1k.

exhaust where the rear clamps can rust also, but a repair pipe is made for about 15 quid or so,,,,, aint sure about the other issues but i sell about 25 a week due to the rust issue,,, hence we make the repair pipe
oh the brake and accelorator are both in the middle and a space where the accelerator should be is left empty,,,, fuck knows why
BUT it shares the same pedal position of a lambo almost

Ive had a couple, decent run arounds. Very good on petrol if they've been looked after right too and respectably nippy.
I paid £850 for one on a P reg, FSH, 86k about 18 months ago which was a good deal. Tax, no mot.
Id say its worth around the £1000 mark. Any under is doing ok imo.

Had no idea they were worth so little, not really that surprising though

if it has stains on the rear door cards then the window seals leak, i know of a few that done this, and god forbid, i even took one for a test drive a few years ago and them windows leaked too
all round, not a bad little car, but get the windows tinted as everyone will call you a chav cunt

here i am!
I must admit i quite like my maxo
cracking everyday hack, decent enough mpg and cheap to insure(not if you're 18 on a vts tho lol)
I reckon the vtr could be had for £800. There seem to be plenty about.
then again you could always pay a little more and have my vts

Will see what happens. Will see him tomorrow. And chuck an offer in, though might hurt a bit I would like it as a typical car that hasnt been washed/waxed etc. and i would love to give it a good clean to see what it can come up like. How sad is that
